Exclusive: INQ Twitter phone close to release?

by Ben Smith on 24th July 2009

Exclusive: It looks like ‘social mobile’ firm INQ’s Battersea offices have been overrun with excited staffers trying out the firm’s latest handset this week, as the previously-confirmed new handsets near launch.

When INQ say their target market is "tweens", we're reminded of Nathan Barley.

Presumably the much anticipated Twitter Phone, has arrived in the office ahead of their official announcement…. While official sources are staying tight-lipped (although that’s probably because I didn’t call them) and our insider sources never tell us anything anyway, we’ve noticed several possible INQ employees posting to twitter using “My INQ Mobile”.

Granted, this may just be a new Twitter client for the original INQ1 but still…

Come on INQ!

Show us what you’re hiding back there!

Until then an artist’s impression…

Hope it’s more reliable than the INQ1.

Ha ha, Not sure about the illustration. I’ve got an INQ1 and the lack of Twitter client really jumped out at me as being the obvious thing that was missing. I wonder if there will be a Java applet that existing INQ1 customers can download?
