Quick Review: Aiptek Pocket Cinema V10

by Dan Lane on 24th July 2009

Dan reviews the Aiptek Pocket Cinema V10, a £299 portable projector from FireBox featuring a built-in media player, 1GB of storage, an SD-HDC card slot and a composite video-in port.

  • What sort of connection ports does it have? Can it play back PowerPoint? Could be very useful for travellers wanting to present their brochure-ware.
  • The only video input is composite video (through a supplied dongle). The supplied windows software does convert powerpoint to an image slideshow that can be played from the projector's built-in memory or SD-HC card but due to the relatively low brightness this would be next to useless in all but the darkest of meeting rooms :(
