We’re hearing that Vodafone UK’s pay as you go top-up service has been completely unavailable since some time yesterday and that the fault most likely won’t be rectified until at least midday tomorrow.
While those with sufficient credit won’t notice the outage anyone planning on topping up their credit will be left unable to top-up. It’s not just the automated system either, we were told that neither call centre or in-store staff are able to do anything to help credit-less customers.
While credit is not required for calling the emergency services it is required for teens to call their parents for that all important parental taxi service as well as more traditional non-999 emergency services such as vehicle breakdown recovery.
